The Faculty of Arts was founded in 2007 and received its first group of students at the beginning of the Academic year 2008/2009.The Faculty consists of Four Departments: Arabic Language Literature, English Language Literature, Sociology and Journalism & Mass Media.

At the moment, the Faculty offers Bachelor's Degree in Arabic Language Literature, Sociology, Journalism & Mass Media, and English Language Literature. It also offers a Master's degree in Translation. The Faculty, moreover, offers obligatory and elective university courses such as Arabic, English, and The History & Culture of Bahrain to all University students. Through such courses, the Faculty integrates newly accepted University students in the new University social and academic life.

The Faculty offer Programs in accordance with Study Plans of (132) Credit Hours, to grant Bachelor's Degree in four majors are:

      Journalism & Mass Communication.
      Arabic Language.
      Sociology.
      English Language.

Faculty provides one program by (33) Credit Hour for Master's Degree in the specialty is:

      Translation.
